“For me, it is always great to see organizations that truly
understand the youth that we’re working with, and try to live
up to those expectations. When youth come to you, they are
crying out for help. The Conservation Corps lives up to that. They feel like they are cared for. It’s about trust. We want to refer to organizations that do right by youth. The Conservation Corps is doing that successfully. It is great for the community.”

In my time at the SJCC, first we had the chance to finish school and get a
high school diploma. Secondly who would offer you a job while
at school and still work and study in the same place? Having a
job while going to school is great for those that can’t continue
their education because of work.
